How is a copper cathode formed?
To produce this product, the first step is to pour copper blisters in the anode. After that, electrolytic operation is performed on it. After these measures, they are immersed in a tank of copper sulfate and sulfuric acid. At this point, as the current begins to flow, the copper ions begin to transfer to the cathode. In the last stage, 99.99% pure copper cathode is formed.
Copper cathode sheets are produced in dimensions of 0.5 to 1 cubic meter and thickness of 3 to 20 mm.
Application of copper cathode
Copper cathode is used to produce various shapes of ingots. This product is also used to make cast iron rods. Which is widely used in wire, cable and transformer industries.
Copper cathodes are the raw materials of many products such as copper rods, copper sheets, rice production and copper shields and.. This product is also used for bronze and brass alloys and… as raw materials used in the transportation, electrical and construction industries.
